You install the sensor(s) in the field in just 2 minutes. An accompanying manual explains where to place the units to ensure reliable counting (avoid stagnation of the public, check the correct counting width, etc.).
4
During the automatic counting period, you can access your data in real time on your smartphone. This makes it easy to share the figures and check that the counting system is working properly.
5
In addition to visualising counts on smartphones or computers, Kiomda provides its customers with detailed count reports (key figures, visitors per day/week/time slot/quarter-hour/per sensor, ratio per working day/weekend, etc.)
Kiomda counters use digital thermal detectors placed in the focal plane of a Fresnel lens.
When people pass in front of the sensor beam, they concentrate infrared heat radiation. A patented stereoscopic algorithm then counts reliably and robustly in both directions.

The Avaugour forest is an ideal place for walking. Every spring, the local authorities organize a festive, free day of discovery. In 2019, Kiomda sensors were installed at the entrance to the site and recorded all visitor entries/exits. Despite the weather, 2,564 passages were counted. These figures and visitor curves served as the basis for a factual presentation highlighting the event. These data were presented to the elected representatives and will serve as a basis for future editions.
Over 200 volunteers and a budget in excess of €60,000 for an event commemorating the Second World War in Brittany. It was important to measure the number of visitors! For 2 days, counters measured the number of vehicles arriving at the beach parking lot, while 5 pedestrian counters were installed at the main access points. The detailed report, with key figures, was used to justify, a posteriori, the subsidies granted.
The MSC Grandiosa liner was opened to the public to showcase St Nazaire's expertise. The organizers wanted to monitor the number of visitors on board to ensure that the maximum capacity of 2,500 was respected. 2 Kiomda sensors were installed on the 2 entrance/exit sections of the liner. During the 2 days of the event, organisers were able to monitor the evolution of the attendance figures on their smartphones. The figures showed that the authorised threshold had been respected. The key figures and attendance curves will serve as a basis for the next edition.
